We had an amazing trip to Kanha National Park organized by Kunal and Travelwith.in. As always, everything was perfectly organized and planned by Kunal, and we also had the best naturalist on our four safaris — really dedicated to his job and a true professional. Sightings were just breathtaking and we really loved the park and the resort we stayed at nearby. I can 100% recommend Kunal.

I now book all of my safari trips through Kunal. The Kanha trip he arranged for my group was fantastic and such great value for money. I have been on three separate safari trips in India, and the only one where we didn't see anything was the one we did not organise through Kunal — so I've learned the lesson! Highly recommended, great communication, and also very honest. When he could have booked us worse permits for Ranthambore he told us he didn't think it would be worth it, and instead returned the money. That's very rare for a business like this. Don't book your safaris in India anywhere else!

We had a great trip to Kanha organised by Kunal. He provided great, honest advice on when to go and on which zones to organise our safaris. It paid off: we had three incredible sightings in two days despite the early monsoon, which created an amazing atmosphere in the forest. He arranged for us to stay in a beautiful and friendly lodge close to the safari entrances. This was my fourth trip with Kunal and I'll definitely be returning to him for more safaris next season.

Things to know as you plan

Frequently asked questions.

  • Kanha safaris run from October to June. While the winter months are pleasant and cosy around an evening bonfire, it is from April to June, when the forest becomes dry, that sightings of the large mammals are at their best.

Safaris on public holidays and from November to April get sold out 90 days ahead.

  • All our safaris are in private jeeps with an English-speaking naturalist. We organise the safari permits and the pick-up and drop from your hotel to the park.

  • Kanha is one of India's classic tiger reserves and the landscape that inspired The Jungle Book. It's also the place that saved the hard-hoofed barasingha from extinction — you may see the swamp deer in the open grasslands, grazing along with other herbivores.
