All eyes are on Kuno as it sets the tone for future large-fauna translocation projects. Surprisingly, the African cheetahs are adapting well to the Indian climate, and their numbers are well over 50.

Kuno is open from October to March. Besides the cheetah, Kuno is a great place to see leopards.

We've now completed three safaris through Kunal: Ranthambore, Jim Corbett, and Kaziranga. We are repeat customers for a reason! Kunal truly takes care of you. He is thoroughly transparent and very quick with communication. He also places you with excellent guides and lodges at every step of the journey.

Great experience and really well organised! Kunal organised absolutely everything for our safari in Jim Corbett National Park and it went very smoothly. We had a really great time in Jim's Jungle Retreat and would definitely go back, organising through Travel With again.

Travel With organized a fantastic trip for our family of four to Panna National Park and Khajuraho; everything was very smooth! The drivers were on time and courteous, and the Khajuraho guide was definitely a subject matter expert. He kept the whole family engaged from start to finish, and every detail was handled exactly as promised.

Frequently asked questions.

  • Kuno is open from October to March. Right after the monsoon the grasslands are dense and green, but teeming with new life. As it gets drier and warmer, visibility across the forest floor improves and wildlife sightings become even more rewarding.

Cheetah access at Kuno evolves — plan with us for the latest on what's possible.

  • The cheetahs are part of a carefully managed reintroduction and viewing is regulated and evolving. We'll set honest expectations and plan your safaris around the best current access, alongside Kuno's excellent leopards and grassland wildlife.

  • Kuno National Park is a four-hour drive from Gwalior airport and a two to three-hour drive from Ranthambore. We arrange all ground transfers through our network of reliable taxi vendors.
