Sanjay Dubri is a great quiet alternative to the busy parks in Madhya Pradesh. You can visit any time the park is open, from October to June. The summer months are rewarding for megafauna sightings, and also for the barefoot forest walk on the Banas river.
This is a genuinely quiet reserve — patience is rewarded more than in the busy parks.
Apart from megafauna, our guides focus on the micro forest that is often missed in a fleeting jeep safari. A rare carnivorous plant called Drosera is known to thrive in the moist riverine areas of Sanjay Dubri, but many guides don't know about this natural wonder. We also encourage our guests to do a gentle forest walk along the Banas river.
The reserve is remote in the best sense; most travellers reach it via Prayagraj or by train and drive in. We arrange all transfers and stays.
